The Iomud horse

This saddle horse, with close affinities to the Turkmen and Akhal-Teke, originates from Turkmenistan, a republic of Central Asia. It is believed to be descended from the ancient Turkoman horse.

 

Caractère et aptitudes du cheval

Patient yet courageous and energetic, this horse is extremely hardy. It is a good jumper.

Utilisations du cheval

It is ideally suited to dressage, cross-country and touring riding.

Morphologie du cheval

Light head with straight or slightly convex profile. Pointed ears. Large eyes. Medium-length neck. Fairly high withers. Back long and straight. Croup slightly sloping. Limbs long, strong, and muscular. Joints dry and broad. Tendons well detached. Well-made hooves, hard horn. Coat: generally gray, but also chestnut, bay, or black. Height: 1.45 to 1.52 m.
