The Henson horse

This little saddle horse, originally from the Baie de Somme (in the Marquenterre region), was created by Le Berquin, who crossed Fjords stallions with French Saddle, French Trotter, and even Thoroughbred mares. The first true Hensons (2nd generation) were born in 1982.

This gentle, sociable horse is hardy, resistant, enduring, and fast. They are sure-footed.

Outdoor and indoor riding, as well as carriage driving and endurance.

Morphologie du cheval

Medium head. Slightly concave profile. Gaskets often quite strong. Circumference of nostrils fairly light. Short ears. Eyes with tapered corners and rims outlined in black. Rather lanky body type. Long, powerful neck. Withers often drowned. Long, rather sloping shoulders. Back fairly well supported. Croup rounded, slightly sloping. Well tempered limbs. Strong joints. Hooves round, very hard. Tail set high, furnished. Coat: Isabella with beige hairs. Mule stripe, black and gold manes. Sometimes stripes on limbs. Size: 1.50 to 1.60 m.
