THE ROYAL HORSE SAGA

Royal Horse was created in 1970 with the desire to feed horses differently, by proposing adapted nutritional solutions. Throughout its history, the brand has strived to maintain its lead in horse welfare, health and performance.

1972: Launch of “Tradition”, the first flaked feed for horses, designed in collaboration with the French National Riding School (ENE) of Saumur.

1989: Creation of “Team Royal Horse” with Michel Robert as main partner.

1990: Introduction of the intestinal flora bioregulator Paciflor across the entire ROYAL HORSE product line and the brand’s first overseas establishments, namely in Brazil. (In order to promote proper digestion in horses)

2001: introduction of MOS (intestinal flora bioregulators in ROYAL HORSE product lines).

The group confirms its decision to expand ROYAL HORSE’s presence on the French market and to strengthen its expertise in equine nutrition.  Many riders practising dressage, eventing, endurance and other riding disciplines join Team ROYAL HORSE and rely on its feed product during the biggest events: European Eventing Championship, World Equestrian Games, Olympic Games, etc.

2009: Research on different profiles of plant-based fat in equine nutrition for athletic horses. (Qualify new sources of energy to supplement the energy value of cereals).

2011: Research on horse welfare and the development of solution to prevent ulcers in horses. (One of the primary diseases affecting horses)

2013: Launch of the new ROYAL HORSE product line and development of the brand overseas, with new manufacturing units in Mexico and new distribution areas in Europe.

2014: Research on recovery of horses from exertion and the launch of the AOelite antioxidant plant-based cocktail, designed to help eliminate toxins from athletic horses.

2016: Roger Yves Bost and Philippe Rozier, pillars of Team Royal Horse, are crowned Olympic champions at the Rio Games.

The same year, the brand expands its ambition on the Asian continent, in both Vietnam and Indonesia.

As a player in the digital revolution, the brand forms a strategic partnership with the start-up Equisense.

2017: To develop its services and respond to riders’ customisation needs, the brand launches the first mobile application in the horse food industry.

Launch of the active ingredient GWB (Gastri Wall Builder) for preventing gastric problems in horses.

2018: research on plant-based DHA.
